Mountain Living Part 2

As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series through the book of Genesis, he'll be comparing the lives of Abraham and Lot and how one chose to obey God and the other chose the life of sin. It's been said that Lot had a saved soul, but a wasted life. Lot didn't wake up one day out of anywhere and decide to live in Sodom and Gomorrah, he slowly faded into that lifestyle of sin. Lot first pitched his tent facing Sodom, and then ultimately ended up moving there and being heavily involved there.

Mountain Living Part 1

God doesn't just want you saved from going to Hell, He desires you to have intimate fellowship with Him while being free from the bondage of sin. Today, Pastor Michael will be encouraging you to spend more time in prayer and in the Word, so that you can commune with God and hear His voice. Prayer isn't just about speaking to God, it's also about listening to God and giving Him the time to speak to your heart. Salvation is just the beginning of your journey, God wants to sanctify and transform you!

Sin Hurts... A Lot Part 2

As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series through the book of Genesis, he'll be challenging you to repent of any sin you've been holding onto. Don't allow sin to destroy the harmony of your fellowship with the Lord. The enemy would love nothing more, then to cause you to be in bondage to sin and to have you feeling isolated. If you've backslidden away from the Lord, allow the conviction of the Holy Spirit to draw you back. Condemnation is what comes from the devil, not the Holy Spirit.

Sin Hurts... A Lot Part 1

All throughout the Bible, God's loving character as well as His righteousness can be seen on every page. Pastor Michael will be explaining how God loves you too much to allow you to live a life of sin. The Lord doesn't want to just save you from Hell, He wants to save you from sin as well! Sin hurts, and it also hurts those around you. God has boundaries and commands in place because he loves you and knows what's best for you. The most fulfilled life you can live is one that's in obedience to God's Word.

The Talent Show Judge Part 2

God is indeed love, but He's also equally a just and righteous judge. As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series, he'll be reminding you that God can be both loving as well as a righteous judge at the same time. It would actually be very unloving to allow the wickedness of man to go unpunished when you think of all the horrible things that have been done. Sin separates you from the presence of God because He is holy and righteous. Yet, He demonstrated His love by sending Jesus so you can have His righteousness!

Whenever the Lord went silent with His people, it was because the nation turned their back on His Word. If you feel as though the Lord is quiet when you pray, and you haven't felt His presence, it's either you've been disobeying His Word, or you haven't been listening to Him speak. Today, Pastor Michael will be encouraging you to not only obey and listen to the Lord, but to also speak forth His Word and share with others what He's imparted to you. The Lord wants to work in you and then through you.

But, the Lord’s will for us is much greater than we can ever imagine. It just takes one step for His will to be done, we just have to believe in Him. When He is what we lean on, and We ask for His will to be done, our trust is in Him. The Lord has great things for us, so put your trust in Him, and He will always provide.

We often pray for the Lord's will to be done, but what does it mean when we pray that? When we pray for the Lord's plan, we give our anxieties to Him. It is so easy to become scared about the future of the world, but the Lord's will is perfect, so there is no reason to be scared. Yes, it is easy to be scared about the future, but take rest in the Lord, because He is perfect.

Preparing A Place for the Lord Part 2

Why did God send His son down? In today’s edition of Burning Hearts, Pastor Michael talks about why God sacrificed His only son. God is Holy and Perfect. There is no sin in Him. We, on the other hand, are born with a sinful nature. This separated us from God. But He loves us so much, that He sent His son down. Jesus took on the sin of the world and became the ultimate sacrifice. He took our place. Because of His selfless act of love, we now can have a relationship with Christ and lean on Him.

Preparing A Place for the Lord Part 1

How much time do you spend with God? In today’s message, Pastor Michael talks about the need for an intimate relationship with the Lord. It can be so easy to get caught in the motions of the Church. We go to Church on Sundays and Wednesdays, and that’s it. When that happens, we can miss what the Lord is doing. We miss the point of the Lord. The way to avoid that is to have a deep relationship with Him. We gain this relationship by spending time in His presence and getting to know His word.
