Parable of the soils Part 1

In today's message, Pastor Michael will share with you about the parable of the soils. In this parable, Jesus compares people to different types of soil. While some are fertile and sustainable, others are infertile and aren't capable of sustaining. As followers of Jesus, we want to be the fertile and sustainable soil. When we grow strong in our relationship with the Lord, we can in turn help to spread the seed of the Gospel to those around us and help to create fertile soil. The Gospel of Jesus never goes out in vain.

If you're a Christian, Jesus should be of the utmost importance in your life. However, there are always other things in life that will fight for that 1^st place spot in your life. Things like money, fame, and relationships can start to infringe on your relationship with Jesus. The things of this world are fleeting, no matter how hard we try they won't fill any voids in our lives. Jesus was there before the beginning of time and He'll be with us in eternity forever... He can fill the void in our lives that so much else has failed to fill.

Tattoos for the Kingdom Part 1

Many people choose to get a tattoo on their skin to distinguish themselves uniquely from others. It might be a personal expression of something meaningful that happened to them sometime in their life. Well, today, Pastor Michael isn’t speaking of outward tattoos, but of markings on your heart, that signifies you’re a follower of Jesus Christ. Imagine you were a fish that had bright orange and yellow coloring, but then you were placed in a tank full of fish that are a deep purplish/blue color. You would feel like you don’t fit in….that you stand out and don’t belong. This is an age-old dilemma with society…you want to blend in and not be pointed out as different. But the life that Jesus is calling you to is one of standing out in a good way! In today’s teaching, Pastor Michael expresses the need to show others that you’re not afraid to be different.

Missional Church Part 1

You might know all the things that are mentioned in the textbook, and be able to recite its content word-for-word. But until you prove what you’ve learned practically, you may not become that doctor, or that neurosurgeon, or that aerospace engineer. The last thing you want up in space is someone who’s book smart but doesn’t know how to get the space shuttle to re-enter Earth’s atmosphere. It’s the same with following Jesus.
