Institution vs mission Part 2

In today's message, Pastor Michael will remind you that Jesus didn't associate with who you might think He would. You might think that Jesus would be spending His time with other religious leaders but that wasn't really the case. Jesus spent His time with the marginalized people in His time. Jesus was with the tax collectors, prostitutes, sick, divorced, and so much more. As followers of Christ, we can follow in His footsteps. We too can care for and share with the marginalized around us as Jesus did.

Institution vs mission Part 1

In today's message, Pastor Michael will remind you of one of God's titles that you may not have heard before, El Roi. In the Hebrew language, the language of the Old Testament, this meant “the God who sees me”... And what an incredible implication this name has. God is fully omnipresent, wherever we are, He sees us. Whatever we do, He sees us. Whatever we're going through, He sees it. God doesn't just shut His eyes to our suffering, He sees us and is with us in it at every step, comforting and guiding.

In today's message, Pastor Michael will encourage you to be in consistent fellowship with like-minded believers in Christ. While it's great for us to be able to listen to sermons online and read great biblical content... It's equally as important that we be surrounded by believers in Christ. The Bible says that where two or three are gathered in Jesus' name, He is there. In our communion with believers, Jesus is with us... And when we're together, we can learn and grow from one another.

Deep, Uh Oh

What would you do if had the super power of seeing into the future? You'd probably fast forward and see all the mistakes you were going to make in your life and NOT do that. :-) As we just heard a moment ago from Pastor Michael...you can have that sort of super power by simply trusting the words of Jesus. What Jesus says you should do...FUTURE PROOFS your life! You can know that your life is going to be blessed and fulfilled when you choose to obey what Jesus says.

Epic enter Part 1

Imagine for a moment that your entire life is a movie. Imagine that every accomplishment, low point, or neutral life moment... You're being filmed for a movie all about you... Well in today's message, Pastor Michael will share with you that your fantasy might not be too far off! Life is a movie, full of twists and turns, successes and failures. However, we're not the main character, Jesus is. In this movie of life all about Jesus, we're the supporting actors that get to live out the impact of the main character, Jesus.

There are many in this hurting world who often feel lonely, forgotten, or simply unloved. And there are those who truly are lonely, forgotten, and unloved by people... But today, Pastor Michael will remind you that Jesus loves the world and those of us in it. If God created humans to be in His image, why wouldn't He love us? If God the Father sent God the Son to die a horrific death to pave the way to reconciliation, wouldn't that encapsulate His ever-enduring and undying love for us His children?

Life sentence Part 1

The world that we live in is always trying to give us fleeting happiness. Fleeting happiness can look like having a lot of money, the biggest house, or the best car... But it's these things that some people have and yet they are always searching for more in search of a lasting happiness... In today's message, Pastor Michael will remind you that true joy and contentment can only come from Jesus. Jesus has a path and a plan perfectly created for every person, when we rest in Him and His plan, we have joy everlasting.

Life sentence Part 2

On your own, you can't make yourself right with God. You might try a lot of different things to become right with God and atone for any sin you have committed... Prayer, church attendance, Bible reading, and tithing are just some of the ways that we can try to earn God's favor. You have to have the right state of mind... And in today's message, Pastor Michael will remind you that Jesus came to make us right with God, His righteousness is given to us. We can't earn it through the right acts for ourselves.

Today, Pastor Michael will remind you that Jesus didn't really follow a lot of social norms. In the New Testament, people with leprosy were deemed unclean by the Old Testament law. Lepers couldn't work and had to scream that they were a leper to anyone who came too close to them... But Jesus didn't care about that. Jesus came to heal the sick, bring many to Himself, and sacrifice Himself for us. He walked up to a leper and touched him... Wherever Jesus went He radically showed love to those around Him.

In today's message, Pastor Michael will share some important biblical truths about women in the church. Some people may incorrectly interpret that the Bible says women can't speak in church. This couldn't be further from the truth. The Bible says that all people will be empowered to prophesy in the end times, prophesy in greek means to speak an inspired message. All Christians, regardless of gender, are called to speak an inspired message. While all people have their different gifts, we can all inspire.
