When you give to God, do you give with love and appreciation? Or do you give bitterly? Perhaps you're giving just enough, so you're straight with God without breaking into your budget. Today Pastor Michael will be looking at the story of the widow's mite, where you'll see Jesus teach his disciples that it's not the amount of money given that's important, but rather the sacrifice made in the offering. God doesn't judge what you give by the amount that it's worth, but by the size of your sacrifice to Him.

What a Messiah

Who do you believe Jesus is? Is He just an ordinary carpenter? a great prophet? Or is He the Messiah, the Son of God? Today Pastor Michael will be continuing through the book of Luke where you'll see Jesus's opponents repeatedly try to "trip him up" with their religious questioning. But Jesus is going to turn the tables on them and asked them a question that will shake up their previous understanding of Scripture. Is it wrong to question God? In the Bible, you often see believers questioning God. The problem is many people often question God with a rebellious un-trusting heart not truly trying to get an answer from the Lord. Today Pastor Michael will be reading through Luke where you will see Jesus being questioned by the Pharisees who try to attack the character of God. It’s one thing to ask God why and another to doubt His goodness and His existence. Do you ever question God or his promise to you?

The Only Real Question Part 1

How do you answer people who ask you difficult or absurd questions? It's easy to get defensive or even aggressive when your faith is confronted by people who seem like attackers. But God calls us to be better, He calls us to be like his Son Jesus Christ. Today Pastor Michael will share a passage where Jesus is being confronted by attackers, but he doesn’t ridicule them…and neither should you. It’s your job to be patient, loving, and concerned about the souls of those who may be asking you questions about God.

If you examine your own life, what have your built your eternal life on? Is Christ the cornerstone? Does the shape of your life mirror the shape of Christ? Today Pastor Michael will continue reading through Luke, and you will see an example where Peter the disciples perform miracles in Jesus's name and are confronted and questioned by corrupt leaders. Are you following God's instructions for your life? Do you take shelter in Him when the storm of life comes knocking, trusting Him to be a firm and sure cornerstone?
