Everything in God's Word is perfectly true and accurate. Whenever it seems like there's any contradiction, it can be proven true if you dig a little deeper into context and language. Pastor Michael is going to show you some examples today of what seem like contradictions actually being true. The best way to prove Scripture true for yourself is simple. Read it! Spend time in prayer as you study it! Get to know God and His Word more every day, and you'll see how everything in it is, in fact, 100% true.

The Crowd at The Cross Part 2

Despite all your mistakes and every regret you have, and despite all your shortcomings and bad habits and traits, God loves you. He loves you more than you can comprehend, unconditionally. He sent Jesus His son to die for you so you can be forgiven of all your old sins and be made new in Him. Today, Pastor Michael has a question for you. How are you going to respond to Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for you? Is God's free gift of eternal life making a differece in how you're living out your life on earth?

The Crowd at The Cross Part 1

Jesus gave everything for you at the cross. The biggest sacrifice anyone could give for someone is what you received from Jesus. God wanted you to experience His love for you that much. Pastor Michael is going to show you the reactions of the people in the crowd around the cross today, so you can find what group you lean towards. Are you doubtful? Indifferent? Overjoyed? Jesus wants you to feel His love for you and be at peace inside because you know that your eternity is secure with Him.

The most important thing on earth is to make sure you know God's will for you and that you do it. You might even be the only one in your circle of friends that does, but the joy of following God is going to make it worth it. Pastor Michael is going to remind you today that your example could be what the people around you need to see for them to grow closer to God themselves. Simon had to carry Jesus' cross when he didn't even expect it, and God wants you to carry out His will, too.

As we live out lives that point to Jesus and make it clear that we follow Him, the world isn't going to like it. You might be called strange, a Jesus freak, be ridiculed, or you may even lose some friends, but it's worth it to be in right standing with God. Pastor Michael is going to encourage you today to focus your heart on doing God's will and on seeing the blessings that come from Him. The ways of God are so much more joyful than anything the world can offer, and when that's your focus, the suffering isn't as bad.

Facing Trials Part 2

As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series through the Gospel of Luke, it becomes very evident that it wasn't necessarily the Romans or the Jews that killed Jesus. It really boils down to all of humanity killed Jesus. It was your sins that caused Jesus to go to the cross. Now it's important to remember, although this is true, what's even more true is that Jesus chose to lay down His own life. Jesus was in complete control the entire time, He laid down His life out of love for you.

Facing Trials Part 1

Have you ever been betrayed by a close friend? Or perhaps you've been harassed and wrongly accused of something. Today, Pastor Michael will be explaining how Jesus experienced the worst possible trials, and the Bible says He counted it all joy as He went to the cross. The reason Jesus counted it all joy, was because He was thinking of how your sins would be forgiven by His sacrifice. God did this because He was thinking of you, and how He wants intimate fellowship with you for eternity!

One of the most important things you should always remember as you relate to others is that you don't wrestle against flesh and blood. As a Christian, your eyes have become open, and you now know that there's more to this physical life. There's a spiritual realm, and spiritual battles taking place all around you. Today, Pastor Michael will be encouraging you to take up the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and to utilize your weapon of prayer. Give the battles over to the Lord, don't fight them alone.

Drop Your Sword Part 1

Sin is pleasurable for a season, but in the end it brings destruction. Today, Pastor Michael will be teaching you how important it is to rid yourself of any weight of sin that is hindering you from running your race for the Lord. Sin will always take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay. There's a reason God, who created your very soul, gave you boundaries to protect you. He knows what's truly good for you.
