B.F.A.M. Part 2

Our culture emphasizes materialism and individuality. We hear the message from a young age to “follow our hearts.” But what if your hearts’ main desire is to serve self? Because you were born into sin, your heart will naturally seek what’s best for you even if it hurts the people around you. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will challenge us to be set apart from the patterns of selfishness and hatred that plague this world. Live a life of love towards the people around you, even when they come against you.

B.F.A.M. Part 1

Where are you spending your time, money and resources? Is it in investing in your own comfort or financial security? Is it on experiences or possessions? In today’s message, Pastor Michael will remind us of our calling in Christ. We’ve been given immeasurable grace and access to God’s redemptive power. He didn’t intend for us to hoard it. He wants us to use it to serve the people around us in our lives. Not just the people you like either. You’re called to bring healing and hope even to your enemies.

Brace for Impact Part 3

When Jesus called the disciples to follow Him, He didn’t say, “get your stuff together, work out all of your mental and spiritual issues, and show me you can follow the rules – and then come follow me.” No, His calling was extremely simple. He started with “Come, follow me… I’ll make you fishers of men.” As Pastor Michael will explain in today’s message, Jesus will do the leading and He makes you a fisher of men. It’s His work in your heart and life, not your work and effort – you’re simply called to follow.

Fire Works Part 3

If you’re a believer in Christ, you will still wrestle with sin. There will be junk in your life that continues to get in the way of your pure relationship with God. Today, Pastor Michael will explain how God longs to come to you and refine you to burn off that residue and all that taints your walk with Him. It will be painful at times, but in the end, you’ll be unencumbered by the sin that holds you down. You’ll have a deeper, stronger faith and life more abundant! Don’t resist the Lord’s work in your life!

Fire Works Part 2

Some Christians take such a stand against sin that they hate and terrorize the sinner. Some Christians on the other hand have grown so used to sin in our culture that sin is tolerated and even celebrated today. Today, Pastor Michael will explain God’s true view of sin and sinners – He loves sinners, He hates sin. He does not tolerate or condone any sin. But He loves sinners so much He wants to free them from bondage to sin and save their souls. So He sent Jesus to take the penalty for sin in order to make sinners right with God again.

Fire Works Part 1

God is entirely holy, good, pure and sovereign. There is no sin in Him. Humans on the other hand, are full of sin and darkness. But, God, from the beginning of creation, has wanted relationship with mankind. So, as Pastor Michael teaches today, He sent Jesus into the world to refine and purify man, by His own blood so we can approach God. He came as the lamb of God to take away the sin of the world. Through belief and faith in Him and His sacrifice on the cross, you’re clean and pure and saved.

Brace for Impact Part 2

What did the disciples take with them when Jesus called them to follow Him? They dropped their work and left their communities and even their families to follow Him. That is not a justification or reason to abandon your family or responsibilities. If you’re married, with or without children, bring them with you on the mission God calls you on. As Pastor Michael will explain in today’s message, the point of it is this: Jesus comes first – everything else needs to be moved to its proper place behind Him.

The things you cling to in this world can’t go with you to Heaven. Not only that, but they can create a lot of drag as you run the marathon of the Christian journey. It’s the ultimate endurance race. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will encourage you to throw off the things that are holding you back from wholeheartedly pursuing God’s mission for you. Is your whole heart in it? If not, what is the focus of your heart? Can you let go of that thing? That’s what it takes, and as hard as it is: it’s worth it.

You may not like to hear this – none of us do – but you are wicked. You likely know it deep down, but the enemy tries to convince us that we’re good enough on our own. We don’t deserve God’s love. We’ve hated our brothers and sisters – each of them God’s Creation – and we’ve coveted, lusted, stolen, lied, and generally chosen to be selfish and reject God. Many of these sins happen multiple times a day on some level. Yet, as Pastor Michael will remind us today, Jesus loves you and has secured your redemption.

Jesus is either the most narcissistic human that ever lived, or He is who He says He is. For those of us who’ve grown up close to the Gospel, it may be easy to accept this, but think about how you’d react if someone came along claiming to be the Son or Daughter of God. You’d quickly assume they’re insane and do your best to avoid them. But, as Pastor Michael will explain in today’s message, Jesus backed up His claims with actions. He fulfilled the prophecies and demonstrated God’s love for us.
