Have you ever imagined what the world would be like if there were no rules? Every group of people throughout history has had rules and consequences for breaking them, even if those rules seemed few and far between. Scripture says, that as soon as the great flood ended, one of the first things that God gave Noah was a rule and a serious consequence for disobeying it. In today's message, Pastor Michael will teach you about God's design for both justice, and order in this fallen world.

Let me ask you a question: How much are you willing to give to God as a sacrifice? The woman in this story knew Jesus’s worth and gave up literally the most valuable thing that she had. Some people who saw this happen thought it was a waste. Jesus didn’t condemn her; he was pleased by her worship. You will see in today's message that God responded to Noah's unreserved sacrifice by promising to never flood the earth again. Today, Pastor Michael will teach you that nothing done for Jesus is ever a waste.

Can you imagine what it must have been like to be Noah? God tells him that water is going to fall from the sky and flood the earth, so he needs to build a giant boat. If that doesn’t sound crazy enough, consider that it had never rained before! I know one thing for sure: Noah trusted God. Even when God’s direction didn’t make sense. Do you ever struggle to trust God? Well, you’re not alone. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will teach you how to trust God by walking by faith, not sight.

Wednesday Aug 31, 2022
Wednesday Aug 31, 2022
In the last message, Pastor Michael began his explanation on what it means to “Grab the Bull by it’s horns and the dove every morning.” Grabbing the Bull meant accepting our sinful nature and our need for a savior. In today’s message, he continues by explaining that “grabbing the dove every morning” means reminding ourselves of God’s grace in our lives. None of us can be redeemed by our own standing or works; it’s only through the Grace of God that we have the gift of salvation, we can’t forget that!

In today’s message and the next, Pastor Michael goes through his explanation of Noah and the Ark. His two themes are ‘grabbing a bull by the horns and ‘grabbing the dove every day.’
He uses these as metaphors for our need to work with God in our lives every day. Grabbing the bull means learning and accepting with the truth of our sinful and fallen nature head-on, rather than trying to skip past it, or hide it from ourselves.
And we’ll get what “grabbing the dove” means next time!

Do you ever feel overwhelmed? Sure you do; everyone does! But we shouldn’t let that distract us from God’s will. In today’s message, Pastor Michael speaks about Noah, and the complexity and shape of the Ark. Did you know that God instructed Noah to build an opening near the top in order to let in the fresh air? The opening allowed Noah and his family to get some fresh air when they needed it. In the same way, God tells us to leave openings in our busy lives to refresh ourselves with Him and His word!

Sometimes, it can be easy to forget that it’s not our good deeds or thoughts that save us from Hell. In today’s message, Pastor Michael reminds us that we cannot redeem ourselves. We need a redeemer. And that redeemer is Jesus. Now, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t do good works, or that they’re worthless. Our good works need to be a reflection of our savior; not an effort to make ourselves seem worth saving. That’s because we aren’t worth saving. But God loved us too much to leave us beyond saving.

Who Part 2
Thursday Aug 25, 2022
Thursday Aug 25, 2022
Previously, Pastor Michael spoke about needing the context to properly understand the Bible. Today, he speaks about knowing your sources. The Bible is a very complex book that relies on translations and study for us to understand properly. Because of that; we need to be courteous and very aware of WHO exactly we’re listening to. Some of the smartest Biblical scholars have gotten things wrong before; so, we can’t simply take everything we hear as is! We always need to confirm the things we hear!

If you had to explain a Bible verse to someone who wasn’t a Christian, how difficult would it be if you didn’t know the context surrounding it? In today’s message, Pastor Michael talks about this difficulty. All the different names, places, traditions, practices, and especially subtleties and references; aren’t able to make sense if you don’t have the context for them! There’s only one place you can learn the context properly; and that’s within the rest of the Bible! Anywhere else risks misunderstanding!

Enoch was NOT in the Bible Part 2
Tuesday Aug 23, 2022
Tuesday Aug 23, 2022
The Bible says that “For before he was taken away, (Enoch) was approved one who pleased God.” What does that mean? In today’s message, Pastor Michael explains what it is to be approved as one who pleases God. He starts by reading the verse further; “…without faith it is impossible to please God.” Meaning that having faith and believing in God in the first place is first step! After all, how can you expect to please something that you don’t believe exists? That’s just crazy, right?
