Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will explore the ways that Christ crashed into our world. We’re very familiar with the Christmas story – Jesus being born in a manger to Mary and Joseph - with little haloes around their head – you can picture the nativity, right? It’s so sanitized in our view, but in reality, it was not a warm, clean event. He was born in a functioning barn, in a country occupied by a hostile, foreign nation. He came to a broken world, in a broken way, to bring His redemption to men’s hearts.
