Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. If you read through the Old Testament, especially the book of Leviticus, you may find yourself feeling overwhelmed with all the rules. There are some downright strange ones. As Pastor Michael will explain in today’s message, while God inspired the rules we find in Scripture, and there were good reasons for them, He knew we would need things simplified. At the heart of the laws God gives us is the basic laws that found in Micah 6: do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.
