Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. God is indeed love, but He's also equally a just and righteous judge. As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series, he'll be reminding you that God can be both loving as well as a righteous judge at the same time. It would actually be very unloving to allow the wickedness of man to go unpunished when you think of all the horrible things that have been done. Sin separates you from the presence of God because He is holy and righteous. Yet, He demonstrated His love by sending Jesus so you can have His righteousness!
