Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Wow… what a great realization from Pastor Michael. You can’t work your way to salvation. You may spend a lifetime trying to work your way into heaven, but you will be disappointed because Jesus doesn’t want that. He doesn’t want you to make promises to Him that you can’t fulfil. He already did the work for you, by dying on the cross for your sins. He simply wants you to fall in love with Him. To be close to Him. To grow in relationship with Him. Today, Pastor Michael will empower us to draw near to Jesus.
