Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. As Christians, when we grow closer and closer to God, it can be far too easy to become prideful. Maybe we start to look down on others who don’t Him, or maybe we even devalue fellow believers who aren’t as far along in their faith. Today, Pastor Michael wants you to know that pride is the complete opposite of who God is. The only way to truly spiritually mature in your faith is to strive for humility day in and day out. The very essence of who God is starts with humility. Become more like Him through your humbleness.
