Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Imagine being in Abraham's shoes for a second when God commands him to sacrifice his only son. This is the son God promised Abraham and the son that was miraculously conceived, and now God is telling Abraham to sacrifice him! Today, Pastor Michael will explain how Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son in the faith, knowing that God would somehow come through. Whether God was going to provide a different sacrifice or raise his son from the dead, Abraham had faith God was good.
