Welcome to the Burning Hearts Podcast! Our heart is to glorify Jesus Christ and draw people closer to Him through explaining Scriptures in a relevant and easy-to-understand way. Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Imagine you were a fish that had bright orange and yellow coloring, but then you were placed in a tank full of fish that are a deep purplish/blue color. You would feel like you don’t fit in….that you stand out and don’t belong. This is an age-old dilemma with society…you want to blend in and not be pointed out as different. But the life that Jesus is calling you to is one of standing out in a good way! In today’s teaching, Pastor Michael expresses the need to show others that you’re not afraid to be different.
