Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. In today's message, Pastor Michael will share with you about a restorative practice that God has modeled for us since the beginning of time, rest. God created the Earth in six days and on the seventh day, He rested from all the work that He had done. Now, did God need to rest? No, He's God... But right from the genesis of Earth, rest was shown to be a beautiful thing. And while God doesn't need rest, He knew that we as humans certainly do. So take the time to rest and you'll be blessed.
