Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. If you keep telling yourself that you’ll crawl out of your habitual sins and addictions soon, but you’re just not ready yet, beware: it only gets harder to escape. The good news is you don’t have to get yourself right before you come to God. You can’t. As Pastor Michael will encourage us in today’s message, don’t put it off another day. God’s waiting and longing for you to come to Him and ask for His help. He won’t scoff or turn you away in disgust – He’ll wrap His arms around you and make way for your escape.
