Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. I can't move without disturbing this guy chained next to me, and no, he's not my friend. BUT he IS this lost soul that needs the love of Jesus. He needs the same person that I have found to be my EVERYTHING. I rejoice that I have opportunity to share Jesus with this Roman soldier! This could very well have been the thoughts of the Paul. There are three things we learn from this story as Pastor Michael tells us today. The most important? NOT CHANGING the simple message of Jesus...Savior from ourselves.
