Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. As we live out lives that point to Jesus and make it clear that we follow Him, the world isn't going to like it. You might be called strange, a Jesus freak, be ridiculed, or you may even lose some friends, but it's worth it to be in right standing with God. Pastor Michael is going to encourage you today to focus your heart on doing God's will and on seeing the blessings that come from Him. The ways of God are so much more joyful than anything the world can offer, and when that's your focus, the suffering isn't as bad.
