Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Have you ever considered the story of Jonah and the big fish as a baptism? In the story, you see that Jonah starts by running from God, but emerges from the big fish ready obey Jesus. Similar to being baptized, when he went under the water, his selfishness was drowned away and he emerged different. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will teach you that God wants you to be a radical Christian by living a life of striving to drown out the selfishness of your heart and instead, live for HIS will and purposes.
