Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Today, Pastor Michael will remind you that Jesus didn't really follow a lot of social norms. In the New Testament, people with leprosy were deemed unclean by the Old Testament law. Lepers couldn't work and had to scream that they were a leper to anyone who came too close to them... But Jesus didn't care about that. Jesus came to heal the sick, bring many to Himself, and sacrifice Himself for us. He walked up to a leper and touched him... Wherever Jesus went He radically showed love to those around Him.
