Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series through the book of Genesis, he'll be comparing the lives of Abraham and Lot and how one chose to obey God and the other chose the life of sin. It's been said that Lot had a saved soul, but a wasted life. Lot didn't wake up one day out of anywhere and decide to live in Sodom and Gomorrah, he slowly faded into that lifestyle of sin. Lot first pitched his tent facing Sodom, and then ultimately ended up moving there and being heavily involved there.
