Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. When you live like you’re privileged and important, or crave the spotlight for yourself above Jesus and others in the body, that’s a sure sign that you’ve become prideful and distant from God. Today, Pastor Michael will explain how spending time with God will right your perspective on your own importance. The more time you spend in prayer and in the word, you begin to see over and over how amazing God is and how insignificant you really are. But the incredible truth is that despite your insignificance, God loves you abundantly.
