Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. On your own, you can't make yourself right with God. You might try a lot of different things to become right with God and atone for any sin you have committed... Prayer, church attendance, Bible reading, and tithing are just some of the ways that we can try to earn God's favor. You have to have the right state of mind... And in today's message, Pastor Michael will remind you that Jesus came to make us right with God, His righteousness is given to us. We can't earn it through the right acts for ourselves.
