Welcome to the Burning Hearts Podcast! Our heart is to glorify Jesus Christ and draw people closer to Him through explaining Scriptures in a relevant and easy-to-understand way. Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. We are constantly bombarded with opinions about new ways of living and are told what we need to do in order to live the life we want to live. As Christians, it’s no different and usually is much more difficult. Today, Pastor Michael wants to remind us that if our faith is in Jesus, we need to be intentional about our time with Him. The moment we start to let go of the throttle on our faith, we begin to lose sight of him and start to let the world consume us. Don’t fall prey to the world’s opinions and stand firm.
