Welcome to the Burning Hearts Podcast! Our heart is to glorify Jesus Christ and draw people closer to Him through explaining Scriptures in a relevant and easy-to-understand way. Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. If you walk into many churches, you’ll find a crowd of people who all look similar. From clothing styles, skin color, and apparent economic status, we tend to be drawn toward what’s comfortable. Being around people who like the same things and come from similar backgrounds is easy. But, all too often, we miss God’s greater calling for the Church. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will challenge us to transform our churches into a place of healing for broken people.
