Welcome to the Burning Hearts Podcast! Our heart is to glorify Jesus Christ and draw people closer to Him through explaining Scriptures in a relevant and easy-to-understand way. Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Often, people come into a church and walk out more wounded than when they entered. As Pastor Michael will exhort us in today’s message, that is not how it should be. The Church should be a place where people experience healing. God wants to save, redeem and restore, but if we’re making the hurt and broken feel unwelcome, we’re squandering the grace He’s given us. We can’t expect people to fix themselves before they appear in our sanctuary's doorway.
