Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Jesus is either the most narcissistic human that ever lived, or He is who He says He is. For those of us who’ve grown up close to the Gospel, it may be easy to accept this, but think about how you’d react if someone came along claiming to be the Son or Daughter of God. You’d quickly assume they’re insane and do your best to avoid them. But, as Pastor Michael will explain in today’s message, Jesus backed up His claims with actions. He fulfilled the prophecies and demonstrated God’s love for us.
