Welcome to the Burning Hearts Podcast! Our heart is to glorify Jesus Christ and draw people closer to Him through explaining Scriptures in a relevant and easy-to-understand way. Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. So often, in Christian circles, an attitude can begin to develop that one must hate a sinner as much as the sin they’re entangled in. On the other hand, some preach acceptance, tolerance, and love which glosses over sin. Today, Pastor Michael will encourage you instead, to treat sinners like Jesus did. Love sinners. But don’t love and condone their sin. Teach them the truth about God and sin, Jesus and salvation in love! Do it from a desire to share eternity with them. Introduce them to the God of love and justice.
