Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Have you ever sinned and felt like you got away with it? You felt like there wasn’t any consequence to your mistake, so you continue to sin. There isn’t always an obvious consequence. Today, Pastor Michael will use Abram as an example of why it is not worth it to run away from God. It seemed that Abram got away with giving up his wife… at the moment. However, he ends up facing the consequences later in his life. It is a good reminder that sin can cause harm not only to you but can to ruin the lives of people you love.
