Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series through the Gospel of Luke, it becomes very evident that it wasn't necessarily the Romans or the Jews that killed Jesus. It really boils down to all of humanity killed Jesus. It was your sins that caused Jesus to go to the cross. Now it's important to remember, although this is true, what's even more true is that Jesus chose to lay down His own life. Jesus was in complete control the entire time, He laid down His life out of love for you.
