Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. As Pastor Michael continues his teaching series through the Gospel of Luke, he'll be explaining how there should be a huge contrast between the church and the world. Christians are called to forgive their enemies and even pray for them, but the world desires revenge. Christians are called to a life of purity, but the world celebrates all kinds of sexual sin. As a Christian you're referred to as unleavened because it represents being free from the sinful effects that permeate throughout your life!
