Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. What did the disciples take with them when Jesus called them to follow Him? They dropped their work and left their communities and even their families to follow Him. That is not a justification or reason to abandon your family or responsibilities. If you’re married, with or without children, bring them with you on the mission God calls you on. As Pastor Michael will explain in today’s message, the point of it is this: Jesus comes first – everything else needs to be moved to its proper place behind Him.
