Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. The things you cling to in this world can’t go with you to Heaven. Not only that, but they can create a lot of drag as you run the marathon of the Christian journey. It’s the ultimate endurance race. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will encourage you to throw off the things that are holding you back from wholeheartedly pursuing God’s mission for you. Is your whole heart in it? If not, what is the focus of your heart? Can you let go of that thing? That’s what it takes, and as hard as it is: it’s worth it.
