Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. Our culture emphasizes materialism and individuality. We hear the message from a young age to “follow our hearts.” But what if your hearts’ main desire is to serve self? Because you were born into sin, your heart will naturally seek what’s best for you even if it hurts the people around you. In today’s message, Pastor Michael will challenge us to be set apart from the patterns of selfishness and hatred that plague this world. Live a life of love towards the people around you, even when they come against you.
