Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. God isn’t dependent on our praise or gratitude. We’re the ones that need it. As Pastor Michael will explain in today’s message, when you live a thankless life, you’ll gravitate towards complaining and bitterness. When you don’t get what you think you deserve, or you see others getting things you don’t think they deserve, you’ll quickly spiral into anger and feeling sorry for yourself. If you shift your perspective to gratitude for all the good that God’s given you, you’ll find endless joy and peace in Him.
