Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. As Pastor Michael will illustrate in today’s message, unity is crucial in the Church. This doesn’t mean we’re all going to agree on everything. Our unity is in the belief that Jesus is the Son of God who became a man, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, ascending to Heaven, where He’s preparing a place for those that believe in Him. It’s not that other matters aren’t necessary, but if we can unite around that truth, we can approach other matters with grace as we seek God together.
