Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. The temptations of the world can be very deceiving. The world offers you money, fame, power, and everything that the devil wants you to grab a hold of. It can be easy to take the offer and to turn away from Jesus. However, Jesus wants you to grab ahold of Him. He wants you to tithe to His kingdom, to give Him the power and the glory. Today, Pastor Michael is going to use Abram as an example of how to turn away from the temptations of the enemy. Abram was offered riches and gold, but instead chose God.
