Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. “We’ve never done it that way” is a statement that churches can sometimes make when new ideas come up. It can be troublesome when churches become so comfortable with their ways that they close themselves off to new methods. Pastor Michael will challenge you today to be open to Holy Spirit ideas. Be willing to change your practices in order to reach the hard-to-reach. Your message can never change! But the way you speak can always flex and change in order to tell others of Jesus.
