Our name comes from two Scriptures: Luke 24:32 - They said to each other, ”Weren‘t our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and explaining Scriptures to us.” Jeremiah 20:9 - Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not. When you become aware of your sin, you’ll likely feel overwhelmed with guilt and shame. We’re disgusting in contrast to the perfection of our Creator. Because of that guilt and shame, even after you’re saved, you may struggle with feeling accepted by Him. But, as Pastor Michael will remind us in today’s message when you take Jesus’ gift of salvation, you’re more than just accepted, God eagerly welcomes you as family. You’ve made a child and have direct access to our Father in Heaven.
